The D23 Expo was an absolute treat for movie fans, giving a new look to some of the much-anticipated films heading to theaters and Disney+. It might be one of the most exciting projects Frustratingthe long-awaited sequel to 2007’s fictional true-to-life action story fascinated. The film debuted in its first teaser during Walt Disney Studios’ D23 presentation on Friday, and also unveiled an epic poster alongside it. You can check it out below.

Frustrating You’ll return to the story of Giselle (Amy Adams), an animation princess who found her way into the world of live action in New York City. While plot details are primarily unknown, we do know that Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel will also return for the film. Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Jayma Mays are all cast as the film’s villains, and Gabriella Baldacino has been cast as an older version of Morgan Phillippe, the daughter of Dempsey’s character from the original movie.
“I was talking to the director [Adam Shankman]Dempsey explained in a recent interview. “The story is getting better and better. There’s a great cast coming together. And the musical numbers, I sing and dance. Working with everyone again after 14 years is really exciting. We need some escaping now. We need those romantic comedies and musicals to bring out people out of the doldrums we’re in.”
“Every year they’ve been like, ‘We’re going to do this,'” Dempsey added. It would be done, “but then no one could agree on the text.” “It’s an important movie to them that’s a satire. It’s not a typical Disney movie. It’s kind of a bit off-brand. However we give all the Disney movies that came before that have finally figured out now that it’s out. And we’re old enough, so it’s Like a midlife crisis movie.”
